With over 17 years of home experience in making sourdough bread as simple as I could, ‘The Sourdough Solution’ was written for anyone who’s ever struggled with baking loaves of sourdough bread that’s flat. I’ll let you in on a secret – everyone who has ever tried making homemade sourdough bread has baked at least one flat loaf, if not a dozen or more!
Receiving 27,000 visits to this blog a month – just for fixing flat sourdough bread – motivated me to write the book. Along with the prompt of one blog visitor, Kate, who emailed a great encouragement:
“You’ve changed my life. You’ve made me into a sourdough bread baker. I can’t even believe it! Look at this! This is after five attempts using various famous bakers’ recipes and never getting it even close to right. You gotta write a sourdough book or something. Everyone must know!!! So grateful.”

Kate wrote after finding the information on this blog, helped her to nail her own sourdough. I understand her joy. It took me 18 months to rise my first loaf, hence, I am passionate about helping others get off the ground so much sooner.

Winning this award celebrates my desire to make sourdough bread baking accessible to everyone, from beginners to experienced sourdough bread bakers – helping them ‘win’ at sourdough in their own kitchen.
Since it’s release, the book has received 100% 5-Star reviews – another great accomplishment. However, the real achievement is that it works – I’d love to be fly on the wall and see what page each customer found their answer. What ‘aha; was their turning point. That’s not possible, but knowing that they found it and are now off an running with successful loaves of sourdough, makes for a very happy dance in my kitchen.
