Backa Australia – Fermented smallgoods
Probably the best salami in Australia!
We’ve tried a whole lot too, including several house-made charcuteries – de-gustation style with pairing wines and hugely expensive imports. The result? Backa Salami is 100% our pick (aside from making our own of course!). Full of flavour, firm but non-chewy texture, with a long shelf-life. Once open – it stores very well in the fridge (if it isn’t eaten already!)

Made from recycled skincare and pill bottles, shade fence netting, lawn edging, bottle caps, pipes, buckets, door mats, ice packs, plastic film, jerry cans, water bottles, crates and wheelie bins, these boards are stunning to look at and wonderful to use. I just love they’re what they’re made from and show-and-tell all our guests. It’s just such a great product! Over 1cm thick, once the surface wears down with knife use, it can be sanded back to a new fresh surface.
